Bearing Mounting
Precautions for Proper Mounting of Bearings
1) Bearing Preparation
Bearings should remain unpacked until just before mounting, as they are treated with anti-corrosion oil and wrapped in anti-corrosion paper. This oil also serves as an excellent lubricant. For general purposes, you can directly use grease-filled bearings without any cleaning. However, bearings intended for instruments or high-speed rotation must be meticulously cleaned with filtered oil to remove the anti-corrosion oil. Be aware that these cleaned bearings are prone to corrosion and should not be stored for long periods.
2) Inspection of Shafts and Housings
Clean the shaft and housing thoroughly to ensure there are no scratches, machine burrs, or abrasive particles inside the housing. Next, compare the dimensions, form, and machining quality with the technical drawings to ensure they meet the required specifications.

As depicted in Chart 1 and Chart 2, multiple locations on the shaft and housing bore diameters should be carefully inspected. Ensure the perpendicularity between the shaft, housing fillet dimension, and shoulder is accurate.
Before mounting the bearing, spray mechanical oil on the fitting surface after thoroughly checking the shaft and housing.
Bearing Storage
Before leaving the factory, the bearing is sprayed with appropriate rust-inhibiting oil and packed in rust-inhibiting paper. The bearing's quality is assured as long as the packaging remains intact.
For long-term storage, if the humidity is less than 65% and the temperature is around 20°C, store the bearings on shelves at least 30cm above the ground.
Additionally, storage areas should avoid direct sunlight and contact with cold walls.
